Got a nice surprise last Thursday.... A blogging friend of mine made a lovely post showcasing my art dolls. Thank you, Miss Rhissanna!
Check it out here: Dollmaker on Thursday
And be sure to click on her etsy link while you are there as she is a very talented dollmaker herself :)
Hmmmm.... updates. Well of course I'm still working on this painting. Got back on it yesterday and the shading just started flowing. It's so much easier to shade with acrylics than I thought and I can't wait to incorporate this new skill into my art dolls and sculpts.....
Want to finish this soon! Just a little more to go... some fine lines, more shading, fix her nose, his bangs and ears and add highlights to the hair and I'm done. Oh and figure out how to add lashes :)

I've also been inspired to make a Fan doll or sculpture. Leaning more towards a sculpture. I love the movie "Bronson" and I'm a huge fan of the British actor Tom Hardy. Facebook friends are sure to know this! lol He's such an amazing actor and more Americans are soon to realize his talent.... his movies include:
The Dark Knight Rises as Bane
Inception
Lawless
Warrior
Rock n Rolla as Handsome Bob
This Means War
The Virgin Queen
The Take
and so many more!
But I have a feeling next year he will be much more widely recognized here when the new Mad Max: Fury Road comes out.
Yes he is playing Max!!! :D
Anyway there are a few skits in the movie where he's on stage dressed as a clown and one day this image popped in my head so if I can build a sturdy armature I'm going to sculpt it.

And lastly my dad is much better. He's out of the hospital AND he quit smoking! So very proud of him. Thanks to all who sent prayers and healing energy his way.
