Gretta the Spook.......

is here! WooHoo!  Can't believe I started her back in the middle of January and I just got her finished! But we did have a nasty bug hit us.... I was sick then my hubby got ill so there's one excuse :D

It such a relief to be done and able to move onto other things. Gotta get some smaller items made and put on etsy.

So now I'm crossing fingers that ADQ will accept her!

Such a Sweet Gift!

Arya.... the winner of my Dark Fairy sent me one of her dolls as a thank you :) I absolutely adore her! She has that Folk Art look that I can't ever seem to accomplish. I've tried! lol Didn't know she had an etsy studio 'til this little lady came along. Go check it out. I couldn't believe the prices! I figured this one would go for at least $30-$35.......

Sketchbook Sunday & Spook Update

Here's a little idea I had for a big Art Doll... she's going to be a Victorian Bride or some sort. I've had a Vintage 1960's Gunne Sax wedding dress in my possession for years and I've finally found a use for it. The lace on the hem had some staining and tears but I think I can cut this dress down perfectly for her. It also has tiny pearl like buttons I can use.

So I've been quite ill this past week! The only thing I've been able to do is go from the couch to the commode and finally today I felt well enough to put my Spooks hair in pigtails and sew her arms and legs on. All that's left is to make 2 dresses and her bloomers.

Amazingly in my haze of illness I had some inspiration! lol I was laying there one day and the image of a Succubus came to mind. She had those curly/straight kinda horns sticking out of her forehead to each side and a look of passion on her face. The tip of her tongue was sticking out and she had lip piercings. Can't decide if I wanna make her into a big doll with clawed hands and feet or into a bust with a wooden base....hmmmm. Will have to think on it! :D
